Majalah Dragon issue mei 2016, yang
dijual pada 19 maret, mengumumkan bahwa light novel fantasi Rokudenashi
Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records akan mendapatkan adaptasi anime.
Novel
ini ditulis oleh Tarou Hitsuji, dan digambakan oleh Kurone Mishima, dan
novel ini juga sudah diterbitkan sejak tahun 2014 dan sudah memiliki 5
jilid. Novel ini juga diadaptasikan menjadi sebuah manga yang dikerjakan
oleh Aosa Tsunemi pada Majalah Shounen Ace.
